Chapter 188.8.131.52 of the standard for electrical safety of medical electrical equipment stipulates that multiple sockets must be supplied via an isolating transformer. The multiple socket outlet with galvanic isolation, consisting of e-medic MEDX socket strip and Baaske MEDX T1200, meets the requirements of the standard DIN EN 60601-1 Chapter 184.108.40.206 and thus offers a maximum of safety and standard conformity of the system.

Multiple socket incl. 1200 VA isolating transformer
The European standard EN60601-1 for the electrical safety of medical electrical equipment stipulates in Chapter 220.127.116.11 that multiple sockets must be supplied via an isolating transformer. This multiple socket for ME systems was specially developed on the basis of this standard and is currently the only multiple socket with galvanic isolation. Consisting of the Baaske MED X socket strip and the Baaske MEX T1200 isolating transformer, this system meets the requirements of the standard DIN EN 60601-1. The integrated 1200VA isolating transformer was specially developed for the power supply of supply-critical medical electrical systems (ME systems) in hospitals and medical practices and has a high reliability. In addition, this system protects your patients, your equipment and also itself from excessive inrush currents, half-wave failures, overheating and excessive voltages. The special front interface for the integration of an insulation monitor offers even more safety. Any insulation faults that may occur can thus be safely avoided.

The system-integrated isolating transformer with 1200VA additionally offers sufficient capacity to optimally protect your electrical system against malfunctions. The potential equalisation (ZPA) on the multiple socket outlet housing offers a further plus in safety; it enables the strip to be used simultaneously as a local ZPA distributor.
